SAFETY FIRST
As part of South Australia’s West End Brewery redevelopment, Austline Fabrications was engaged to fabricate a stainless steel tank canopy for a capabilities/water treatment tank at the Thebarton site.
Austline arranged for design and certification of the canopy to ensure it’s safety and ease of installation. The 14 metre diameter canopy was manufactured in Perth in triangular quadrants so that it could be disassembled for ease of delivery. The Austline installation team delivered and installed the canopy on site.
CARBON FILTRATION
During the installation of the canopy, the client also requested that we assist with designing and installing an odour elimination system to the tank’s pipe work. This was predominantly due to some complaints received in the local area.
Austline were happy to oblige, designing an activated carbon filtration system through a 300mm extraction pipe that succeeded in eliminating 97% of odours.

SCOPE OF WORKS
In 2013, Lion Nathan resolved to close the Canning Vale operations of the iconic Swan Brewery and move production interstate. The Swan and Emu beer brands and keg production would be transferred to the company’s West End Brewery in South Australia. Austline Fabrications was engaged by Lion Nathan to complete the following scope of works;
The sheer size of the vessels required extensive logistics planning for the removal, refurbishment and transportation to the new site.
Each vessel was;
– 150 thousand hectolitres
– 18 metres tall x 4.2m diameter
– 20 tonnes
INSTALLATION
Austline, as part of TFG Group have extensive experience in food & beverage installation projects and were able to deliver and install the refurbished tanks at the new West End site in Adelaide.
